Medalla is one of the many ETH 2.0 testnets over 2019 and 2020 as Ethereum makes its final transition to a pure Proof-of-Stake (PoS) blockchain. Medalla is the final ETH 2.0 testnet and unlike the other testnets, Medalla is public— meaning the network validators are not centrally coordinated by developers and the stability and health of the multiclient blockchain will mostly depend on the Ethereum community validators’ participation.
